Spring:
Nursery have had a brilliant half term so far. In Literacy we have been focusing on the story the Little Red riding hood and Goldilocks and the 3 bears. We have been focusing on discussing the characters and retelling the main events from the story.
In Maths we have been learning about describing different patterns that we see in the environment; spotty, striped etc. we have also been having a focus on understand the amount 1 and representing it in different ways.
In RE our focus is ‘Galilee to Jerusalem’. We learnt about the gifts from the three wise men and having been learning about Jesus’ first followers.
Work:
This half term we have been learning the story Mr Wolf’s Pancake. We have been using props to re tell the story.
In Maths we have been focusing on representing the number 2 in different ways. We have been showing the number with; teddies, numicon, counters in a ten frame, using our fine motor skills with pom-poms and making the numeral with playdough. We have also been learning ‘my day’ and have been learning the order of our day; what we do first in the morning, last at night and using the language before and after.
